Sharing the love

Hello, readers!

Today I woke up to find my wife had written something. One of my joys in life is reading her. So, instead of reading me that’s what I offer you today, reading her. When I started blogging I used to write for her all the time, these woman who understands my train of thought like no one else does. Samples of affection as clear as ice and water in a glass. I might do that next week, so brace yourselves. In the meantime, check out her latest post.

AUGUST 3 Things seem to happen in alliterations for me, more so than in 3s. Even though The Wizard Of Oz is one of my favorite movies, I rarely get to say “something, something and something, oh my!”. It’s one of those satisfactions I’d really like to experience; I hear it’s all about the simple pleasures.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. Until next time, readers!

Getting Back on the Horse

Hello, hello readers!

It’s been a while since I’ve written something for you guys. Still love you though. That’s good, right? Something about love in the distance and the heart growing fonder and tandem suicides. Wait, what? That escalated quickly. Getting back on track now…..

As always, even when I disappear it doesn’t mean I’ve stopped reading. Actually, I’ve been insanely productive with my reading, I’m up to seven books this month alone. Part of it is that I found a really comfortable reading that pulled me along, but really I’m just cramming books in before I start grad school and lose my soul. I’ll make a post for everything I’ve read, novels and graphic novels.

My next post will be Florida, but after that I’m going to be scaling down on the Destination posts to focus on other books. I’ve a TBR that will not be denied and I’m constantly finding new books to read. They usually don’t fit in with the challenge, but I’d still like to share them with you guys (RE: I love you). So, I’m changing up the format, posting books as I read them and posting a Destination per month or posting them out of order in response to the books I’m picking up. I still haven’t decided, you guys are definitely welcome to comment and/or make suggestion.

In other news, I’m going to England for a week in November! I’m excited to be going back, even if it’s just for a little bit. I had such a great time when I was there last year. I’ll be heading to Brighton this time. Again, if you have any suggestions of things to do while I’m there (especially bookish things!) don’t hesitate to send them my way. I’m still figuring out the details, but so far it’s looking pretty promising!

As far as blogging goes….

Riding something has never felt so good. What? *Shrugs* I couldn’t help myself.

See you Monday, readers!

Return of the Blogging Dead

I’m back, readers!

Are you excited? I’m excited! A bunch of things have happened since July –some good, some bad, some completely unremarkable. Towards the end of July, beginning of August I found out my Thyroid was all over the place, so I’ve had to start taking medication and figuring out how to change my lifestyle to fix it. In addition to that, my mom was put on notice at work which has meant another series of changes. I decided to stop blogging for a while in order to make space for these changes and set up new routines that would include them.

Don’t fret though, it hasn’t all been dreary! I hooked up with the tallest guy I’m probably ever going to hook up with in my life. He was 6’7. It was dreamy. I have a thing for very tall men, but that is neither here nor there.

In ACTUAL news, my trip to Europe is drawing near and it’s already taking shape. I’ve settled on three countries –Scotland, England, and Spain– ending with a stop in Boston to visit family before returning home. Out of all those places, the only one I’ve already been to is Spain, so I’m pretty excited to be headed somewhere new. There’s talk of carving pumpkins for Halloween and going camping if the weather allows it. All in all, the trip promises to be good and eventful. I’ll be blogging as often as possible during the trip, which means you’ll be able to see what I’m up to as I go!

Speaking of blogging, I’ve decided to post 3 times a week, rather than daily. I think I bit off more than I could chew by wanting to post daily and the content I was putting out wasn’t my best. Hopefully with this new schedule I can provide you with better content. As time goes on and things change, I might definitely increase the number of posts per week, but for now three is the number I’m sticking with. I have a few things planned for the next few weeks that you will hopefully enjoy. I’m looking forward to getting back to blogging, finding a new groove, and writing consistently. A break from blogging didn’t mean a break from reading though, so I’m coming back with my Final thoughts on Under the Banner of Heaven by Jon Krakauer and the other books I read in the month and a half I’ve been gone!

It’s good to be back! Are there any books you guys want to recommend as I continue my challenge? Let me know in the comments below. Missed ya, readers. Until next time!
